| 100% cotton flour sacks are part of our heritage. Generations ago, our forefathers scooped flour from the strong cotton sacks until they were empty, then cut them in two, washed and bleached them, and used the soft fabric as kitchen towels. And our grandmothers and great-grandmothers lovingly dressed up the plain looking sacks with their colorful embroidery stitches. Today, many of these beautiful and historic embroidered flour sack towels are displayed in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. These have been turned into soft, functional cotton flour sack towels into charming and conversational kitchen towels with unique, colorful printed designs.
